Mental Health in the Proposal Industry

Join the chairs of APMP’s Mental Health Affinity Group (MHAG) to discuss mental health in the proposal industry. One of the first groups of its kind for proposal professionals, MHAG members work to create a space to discuss topics such as boundaries, burnout, work life balance, and prioritizing our mental health at work. During this webinar, we will discuss Mairi Morrison’s 2019 study on mental health of proposal professionals, how to create best practices surrounding mental health in the workplace, and what to expect from MHAG at BPC Orlando 2023!

For the past six years, Tori Bunk has worked for numerous companies helping to start up and strengthen their proposal department and processes. While attending her first APMP Bid and Proposal Conference in May 2022, Tori began conversations around mental health for bid and proposal professionals. From this, Tori was given the opportunity to Chair APMP’s newly launched Mental Health Affinity Group. As a passionate mental health advocate, Tori hopes to change the view of mental health in the proposal industry and encourage those in the industry to prioritize their mental health.

Mairi Morrison is an award-winning proposal manager as well as CEO of APMP UK Having conducted the first research into mental well being in the bid and proposal industry, Mairi is a pioneer for prioritizing mental health and continuing the discussion on mental wellbeing for proposal professions.
